Cactus Flower Florists was founded in 1972 by Sharron and Fred Luoma. It began as an extension of Sharron's love of all things floral. She took the knowledge and experiences gained as a member of the Garden Club and translated it to North Scottsdale's first flower shop. The first store was located at the northern fringes of Scottsdale, Arizona.  

Scottsdale, at the time, was a small western town where people tied their horses up outside the store before coming inside to shop.  

From the very beginning, Cactus Flower was a family affair with the kids pitching in to help. They worked their way up from watering plants, running deliveries to the door to actually taking orders.  

Since then Cactus Flower has grown to 6 stores located throughout the greater Phoenix area. Brother and Sister Eric and Kristina are still responsible for the daily operations of all Cactus Flower locations.
